About the Fair
Highland Community School is a parent-driven, child-focused environment fostered by a staff that welcomes the support and expertise that parents offer. We are a hugely creative group of individuals! Every year, we get together to host a maker fair during the holidays. We encourage the public to get involved, see our school and support our maker parents and students. Annually, the students themselves focus on fundraising for their various projects.
In 2018, the focus is getting the Adolescent Program (7th & 8th Grades) to Costa Rica. There will be many opportunities to help this group meets their goals as well as support the local artistic culture of Milwaukee.
We are a community of diverse families and educators working together to offer quality Montessori education in a nurturing environment that enriches, empowers and inspires children to reach their potential and encourages parents to become responsible for and involved with their children's education.
Changing the world by nurturing children and their families to be informed, compassionate, life-long learners who are a force for change in education, the community, and society.
“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
